The Flying Accusations are one of the most unique bands to hit the music scene in years. These folks are one heapin' helpin' of full tilt acoustic music and energy. Their combination of Roots, backwoods, newgrass, altcountry and original tunes, appeals to the most discriminating Hillbilly.
The band was formed in 2004 and have risen to feature act status at musical events throughout British Columbia, Canada. Comfortable mayhem on stage is a big part of the show. One song may have you in hysterics, while the next one may leave you with a tear in your eye. Yes, this band can, and will, draw out your emotions.

Robert McCourty on Guitar and Harmonica strums out the rhythm and belts out tunes, as Brian Fraser's tasty mandolin and Dobro licks fill the air. Philip Holmes picks a pretty mean banjo while Shelley Brown plucks out the heavy bottom end on her big double bass and Mike Nicholls contributes on mandolin or mandola, penny whistles and on occasion an old squeeze box. Lisa Burness pulls the whole sound together with her haunting fiddle melodies. All six members contribute Vocals.
The result is a chemistry of sound and rich harmony laden vocals which is joyous, energetic and revitalizing.

Based on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, The Flying Accusations are available to play Folk Festivals, Coffee Houses, Parties, Receptions, House Concerts, Farmer's Markets, Country Fairs, Barn Dances or just about anywhere good music is appreciated.
The FAs also host an open mic songwriter's nite, at the Dancing Bean Cafe in Chemainus, BC, the first Saturday of every month. They have been the "House Band" there for the past four years. Check out the Gigs page for more information.
